"John Marion Cantrell two wives, Mary and Josie Hale, were sisters. He and Josie live at Rising Fawn, Georgia (1907), where he has many different business interests. He was a prominent member of the Methodist Episcopal Church and the Epworth League, having represented both at General International confrences. For fifteen years he has been superintendent of the Methodist Sunday School Rising Fawn. He is a Worthy Master of F. & A. M.; P. C. of K. of P.; P. G. of I. O. O. F. and is a life member of the Grand Lodges of these orders in the state of Georgia.
"Having no children, they adopted and are educating six orphans: (1) Frank D. was born December 14, 1888 in Missouri. (2) Sarah H. was born November 10, 1892 in Georgia. (3) Will D. H. was born October 28, 1895 in Georgia. (4) Jacob Abbott was born December 25, 1899 in Weatherford, Texas. (5) Mary Belle was born July 8, 1901 in Weatherford, Texas.
