Individual Details
(November 21, 1701 - )
William Wallen is mentioned in the will of his father Thomas II Wallen as "my undutiful son, William". All record of William is lost after 1750 and a notation in a court record notes that "William moved to Carolina". William may have been the first Wallen in what is now Tennessee, because in 1787, when Joseph Wallen took out his first North Carolina land grants on the Clinch River at Kyles Ford, there was a William Wallen and descendants already living there.
