"Thomas Adams McCleskey was born 6 August 1822 in Hall County, Georgia, died 20 November 1895 while living on a farm near Woodland, Red River County, Texas. He married Eliza Eberhart 21 September 1843 in Hall County, Georgia. His older brother, Joseph Howell, had married Susan Eberhart, and his sister Lydia had married S. T. W. Eberhart. The Eberharts were sisters and brother. Eliza was born 23 November 1821 in Hall County, Georgia, died 29 June 1891 in Red River County, Texas and was buried in the Woodland Cemetery; her husband was buried beside her in 1895.
