Washington Perry Williamson

"The family migrated to Newton County Mississippi in 1843 and settled east of Newton, Mississippi. In 1867 the family moved to Nacogdoches County, Texas and settled near Old North Church. The family sold their farm in 1869 and moved to Brewer Prairie where the four brothers bought 400 acres of land; each taking 100 acres for his homestead. In 1875 it became necessary for the family to move back to Nacogdoches to reposess their farm. Four years later W. P. Williamson died and was buried in the Old North Church Cemetery.
