(July 14, 1941 - February 24, 1991)
Joyce has been in a coma for many years (sinse around 1972), and has been in the constant care of Ester Jo, her Mother in law,"Thy people shall be my people". It is very sad she was such a sweet girl, I miss her, I've only seen her once sinse she went into the coma. She truly seemed to recognize me, I talked to her about the fun we had playing bridge together the last time we were together , her eyes came alive with joy and then filled with tears. She cried a long time. It's been almost twenty years sense that last bridge game. This is the saddest story I know.-----Several days after I typed the previous note I received word Joyce had died, I said a prayer of thanksgiving that she is at long last, at rest and in the presence of God. I guess I will always carry a great sadness in my heart for the tormented existence she and her family have had to endure for so many years, may God grant them all peace and healing!
