"Coma Elms, about 17 years of age, died at the home of his mother, Mrs. Henrietta Wade, Dec.16.1916. All that was possible was done to save his life, but it was not God's will that he be spared. He was taken ill at Claud Lovell's where he had been living but was taken home to his mother's, where he lingered about three weeks before he died. The remains were laid to rest in the Locust Grove Cemetery." (Obituary.)
