"Charles Decosta Williamson was named after his Grandfather and a friend of Dr. Will's. This man was an outstanding physical speciman and extremely intelligent. Uncle Charles went to Duffee Public Schools, Newton County Agricultural High School, and graduated form Center Hill High School. He attended Leake County Jr. College and Maryville College Tennessee for a total of about two years. At one time, during this time, Uncle Charles went to Texas to work. Uncle Charles lived most of his life at Duffee, Mississippi. He made a great deal of money in his lifetime and spent a great deal of money. Uncle Charles probably had more ability than any member of his family. He was an excellent athlete, excelling in basketball and baseball. Uncle Charles never learned the meaning of moderation. He could be most enjoyable at times. He had friends and influence in his area. He was married to a most tolerant and good woman, Ida Bell Griffin. Aunt Ida Bell attended Singleton Schools."
