"Finley Greer (1823 - abt 1918) is my great-great Grandfather. He married Mary Polly Jones Greer (1831 - 1914) but I am not sure of this information. My great grandfather was Samuel Washington Greer (1856 - 1951) who I have visited many times on his farm near Boone, North Carolina." (A. R. Houck shows Finley's son, Samuel Greer to have been born 22 February 1851, and dying on 26 February 1951, in Watauga County, North Carolina. This information is from Samuel's death record in Watauga County, Book 38, page 54.)
