"According to Raynell Whiteker (Mrs. Jake) 1716 S. Pecos, Coleman TX 76834, 915-625-2920: "Marie Tune Reed was named Vada, after my mother's older sister. My grandmother's maiden name was Tune she was Clarence's (Marie's father's) sister." I am asuming Vada was the first name, at this point I don't realy know. On January 20, 1993, I talked to Howard Kemper, Marie's nephew, he confirmed her name was Vada. All I remember Grandmother calling her was "Little Marie." " (Judia Terry.)
Marie Tune Kelton Reed's body was cremated. Her memorial service was held at the Bluebonnet Hills Cemetery in Hurst, Texas, Friday, October 4, 2013 at 1 p.m.
