"Nancy had a daughter prior to her marriage to Salathiel - Maggie Reedy, possibly Margaret L. Reedy. I cannot confirm the date of her birth. I believe it might be in 1880 after the census was taken. I have a copy of her marriage certificate to Robert Parks in Ashe County, North Carolina on September 24, 1895. His age is shown as 22 and Maggie 19. But there is a Robert Parks, age 26, and Margaret L. Parks, 20 on the 1900 Grayson County census. I believe this is the above Margaret. I believe Maggie (Margaret L.) has been confused with Nancy and Salathiel's daughter, Laura Etta." (Vera Sue Greer Young, Trout Dale, Virginia, 2005.)

Family tradition tells that Nancy Clementine ("Aunt Tine") was married to Salathiel Greer and had two sons. There is a family photograph. She was married to Salathiel Greer on 23 Feb 1882. Salathiel Greer was born on 2 May 1860. He died on 16 Apr 1935. He was buried in Primative Baptist Church Cemetery at Crossroads in Grayson County. Nancy Clementine Reedy and Salathiel Greer had the following children: Dora Greer, Nora Greer, Minnie Greer, Laura Greer, Otis Greer, Charles P. Greer." (June E.
