"I have came across some very old letters from the Bourne family that I have typed up and would be willing to share to anyone interested. These all came from the home of my great-great grandfather Richmond Bourne Reeves who was the son of Preston Bartoe Reeves and Mary Ann Bourne, and the grandson of William Bourne and Mary Johnson. I have Civil War era letters from children of William Bourne and Mary Johnson, including one from Lewis W. Bourne writing from Black Jack Grove, TX to his parents. There are also a couple from Lewis' brother William C. Bourne, and one from Harvey Gordon Bourne's wife that talks about their sisters Lucinda and Rosa. There is also a 1937 letter from Lewis' daughter Pinkie Bourne-Skinner to R.B. Reeves, and two 1947 letters from Pinkie's daughter Effie Zumwalt, one of which is very long and tells about her three sons that were in WWII. There are at least a couple of other letters from Pinkie that I didn't see originals of, but were typed up several years back by one of R.B.'s daughters and is in a small book I have. I also have typed up and scanned pictures out of a small book called "The Mayberry Murder Mystery of Bonito City" that has pictures of R.B. Reeves, Pinkie and John Skinner, and Pinkie's brother Robert Bourne. I have one picture of R.B.'s mother, Mary Ann Bourne-Reeves, and also one of her sister Lucinda Bourne-Nuckolls that came from "Pioneer Settlers of Grayson Co. VA."
