Rowland, aged 64 years and near 6 months.This good man came to his death unknown to anyone and very sudden. On the day of his death he had done a days work and was found dead in the stable. The doctors say it was heart disease. N. B. Rowland came to this [Pope] county in 1830; has been married twice, has 15 children living, no children dead. He lived a consistent Christian life, was a useful working member of the Methodist Church in his early life. This community has lost a good, worthy citizen, his family a kind and affectionate husband and father.
