Martha Ann Simmons, 78, of Gurdon, a retired nurse at Salvation Army Hospital, died Friday. She was a member of Jehovah's Witness, Prescott Congregation. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today at Horne Funeral Home. Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home by the Rev. Nick Panasenko. Burial will be in Easley Cemetery. Survivors are a son, Ralph Buttry of Gurdon; a daughter, Sue Crossley of Gurdon; two brothers, John L. Walters of Leonard, Texas and Roland Walters of Baden; and five sisters, Helen Thompson and Alice Griffin, both of Little Rock, Nettie Marie Winkle of Rexburg, Idaho, Julia Scott of Alba, Texas and Ceble Stephens of Cottonwood, Arizona.
