"Miss Effie Simmons was born October 28, 1914 at Santa Anna, was married to Elmer Hammonds August 18, 1941, passed away December 13, 1960 at Saint Joseph Hospital in Ft. Worth. Survivors are husband Elmer Hammonds and son Gary Hammonds, born July 12 1946. She was a member of the Fundamental Bible Baptist Church at Kennedale. Pastor Rev. H. M. Corey.
