Individual Details

Fielding Harrison Dunaway

(May 1, 1811 - July 5, 1885)

1880 census lists two grandsons living with Fielding Dunaway: Kerney, C F. This would be Carroll Fielding Carney, Jr., son of Georgia Ann Dunaway. Dunaway, J. A. Don't know who his father was, but initials suggest that he is son of Jesse Allen Dunaway, Jr, and Samantha Dunaway. This census also gives birthplace of Fielding's father as "Eng" and that of his mother as what appears to be "Irland."

Quote from Bogue Chitto Baptist Association Minutes for 1883: "Fielding Dunaway was born May 2, 1811, joined the Bogue Chitto Baptist Church July 1844. In 1884 he drew out and went into the organization of Enon Baptist Church. He died July 5, 1895."
