Thomas Clementh Day

"Thomas Clementh Day's middle name has normally been misspelled as "Clemus". He moved his family to Causeyville after 1880, then moved to Kopperl, arriving by rail 23 December 1893 with $45 in hand. He died of prostratic cancer at 8 p.m. He was a stockman, carpenter, bookkeeper and bank teller, as told by Jesse, Jr. He was small with reddish-brown hair and dark eyes, as recalled by his daughter Dona. Between 1880 and 1885, he acquired a 362.5 acre farm near Causeyville, Mississippi, which he co-owned, with his brother-in-law Carlos Seth." (William Greer, Illinois, 1995.)
