"Services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday in Church of Christ of Memphis with Elder Don Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Memphis. Arrangements are by Peppers Family Funeral Home of Memphis. The Lord called Charlene to her heavenly home to be with our precious savior on Sunday Jan. 19, 2014.

"Charlene was born Sept. 17, 1930, in Anson to the late James Leo Griffith and Florence Janie Saffel Griffith. When she was 4, they moved to Canyon, then Rule and back to Anson. When she was 6, they moved to Memphis. She was a graduate and salutatorian of Memphis High School Class of 1948, and a graduate of Draughon's business college in 1949, in Amarillo. She married Climon Lanton Anglin on June 20, 1953, in Memphis. In 1954 she and Climon moved to Childress. Over the next four years they lived in Americus, Ga., Wichita Falls, and McFarland Calif. In 1958, they moved back to Childress, and in 1961, they returned to Memphis.

Charlene worked for various gins keeping books for several years. Charlene began working at Memphis compress in 1974, until she retired in 1993. Charlene was a member of Primitive Baptist church in Memphis. When the church disbanded in the 1950's Charlene became a member of Lone Pilgrim Primitive Baptist church in Wellington .

"She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years Climon Lanton Anglin.

"Survivors include a brother, Marshall Griffith of Memphis; two daughters, Alice Ricke and husband Roger of Wellington, Kan., and Priscilla Dickerson and husband Mark of Hawley; a son, Jason Anglin and Wife Karen Anglin of Port Lavaca; seven grandchildren Andrew Ricke of St. Louis, Mo.; Matthew Ricke and Chelsea Ricke, both of Lawrence, Kan., Jacob Dickerson of Hawley, Holli Dickerson of Hawley ; Blake Anglin of Port Lavaca; and Emma Anglin of Port Lavaca; her sister-in-law Ferna Anglin of Wellington; and six nephews, Thomas Griffith of Dallas, Larry Griffith of Memphis,Paul Griffith of Amarillo, Cody and Mickey Anglin of Wellington, Lynn Anglin of Hobbs N.M; a niece, Martha Pound of Amarillo; and a niece and three nephews of Pennsylvania."

"The family would like to send special thanks to Road Runner Home Health, Frankie and Edward Gurley, Yolonda and Orlando Robledo as well as their many other friends. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home."
