"Two more young couples who were early settlers of the Grassy Creek section were Robert Pugh, who married in 1817 Mary Thomas, daughter of Jonathan and Patience Bourne Thomas, and Elisha Anderson, who married in 1819 Ruth Pugh, daughter of David and Sara Greer Pugh of Grant. Robert and Ruth Pugh were children of Aquilla Greer's sister."
