"Thomas Haynes, born in Greene County, Georgia, March 25, 1800, died 1866, married (1) Miss Clay, cousin to Henry Clay; moved to Dallas County, Alabama, thence to Noxubee County, Mississippi; (2) Mary Elizabeth Taylor, Winston County, Mississippi, May 25, 1848; children (listed)." "Our line, my husband's line, is with Phelps son, Thomas. Thomas DOB 1800 Olgethrope, GA DOD 10-20-1882 Shuqualak, MS. Thomas maried Lucy Ferguson. They lived in Wilkes, Green and Jasper Countries in GA. Moved Dallas County, AL. He listed on the 1930 Dallas County Census with 5 Children. Phelps had 14 children. 9 with Lucy and 5 with Elmira. Their is a George with both wifes. With Wife our with? Thomas and Mary daughter, Lucy Hurt Haynes married Matthew John Wesley Walker 10-4-1885.
