He was married to Connie Ennis, daughter if Elvin and Lorine Ennis. Darrel Dean and Connie had two children, Byron Edward b. 25 June 1972 and Lori Beth b. 13 Sept 1973 (Lori Beth was born shortly after her father's death). Later Connie married Lynn Kenny.
