"G. T. Bittle; born April 10, 1834; died May 17, 1911; buried at Copeland Ridge Cemetery, which is located 4 1/2 miles east of Curtis, Arkansas." (CLARK COUNTY, ARKANSAS CEMETERY RECORDS, by the Extension Homemakers Council, 1983, page 117.)

1900 Clark County, Arkansas census. George and Eliza had been married 25 years. Eliza shows six children born, none living. They were living next door to Thomas W. and Cinderella.

1910 Clark County, Arkansas census. George T. Bittle was living alone.

"The obituary of George T. Bittle states that he was a hard working man, had considerable wealth, but had no confidence in banks.
