COURT RECORD: FIRST COURT RECORDS, Casey Co.KY, 1807-1817 comp by G.C.Thomas, p.40-41: County Court held Mon. 10 July 1809: "Garrard Voris appointed overseer of the road from the ford of Green river between Richard Northcutts and John Whittle Jr. to the upper corner of said Voris's fence and it is ordered that he with the tithes included in the following bounds to wit, Beginning at Emmeriah Edwards thence up the river on the south side including all the hands on the waters of the said river up to Braxton Drakes including him." [Did Braxton own or rent the land?]
LAND: Barren Co. KY-Original Land Entries 1801-1840 (Photocopied originals), p.60: "BRAXTON DRAKE and GEORGE HART (his security) to WILLIAM MARTIN, sum of $24.28 KY currency 9 Mar 1815. An execution was issued 4 May 1815 by Leon P? Hickledway Esq, against estate of B. DRAKE in favor of William Martin. 25 cents for Exon (?), 25 cents for Bonds. 34 cents ?? amounting in the whole to $12.14 and constables commissions for collecting the sum in 3 months."
