"Elsworth Greer, 85, of Rankin died Tuesday, August 1, 2000, in Midland. Service will be at 10 a.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Rankin with burial at 3 p.m. in East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton. Arrangements are by Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. He was born March 13, 1915, in Barksdale. He owned Greer Oil Co., was a retired Justice of the Peace for Pecos County and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Rankin. Survivors include his wife, Judy Greer of Rankin; three sons, Dan E. Greer of Odessa; Leldon Greer of Imperial and Sammy Heflin of St. Lawrence; four daughters, Eloma Ashwin of Crane, Laureen Terzich of Castroville, Shirley Peel of College Station and Sherie Johnson of Odessa; three sisters, Kayloma Dean, Geraldine Tucker and Eileen Coleman, all of Camp Wood; 26 grandchildren; and 32 great-grandchildren."
