"When the Greers came out of Louisiana, they stopped in Robertson County, Texas near Kossee. The place was called Bald Prairie where my father was born. Then my grandfather, Cephas moved on to Spur, Texas after my father was born. I am not sure if there was a Spur, Texas at that time. It might have been Dickens. They lived in a dugout at the time.
