immy Edward Easley, age 68, of Gravois Mills, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2017, in his home, surrounded with the love of his family. He was born January 20, 1949, in Gurdon, Arkansas, a son of the late Connie and Bell (Hammonds) Easley. He was united in marriage to Vicky Renee' Wagner on July 29, 1998, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas. She preceded him in death on August 12, 2016. Jimmy was a veteran of the United States Army, who served as a Ranger under Special Forces during the Vietnam War. He was awarded the Vietnam Service Medal with two stars, Parachuting Badge, as well as, the Vietnam Campaign Medal with 60 device. He spent time working in a variety of trades, including machinist, stay-at-home dad, and farmer. He was a philosopher who had many hobbies including, candle making, wood working, and glass blowing. He received a degree at VoTech Community College and continued his studies in business at Henderson State University. Jimmy was a beloved father, grandfather, husband, uncle, and friend. He is survived by his daughters, Ginger Hickman and husband Michael of Fairview Heights, Illinois and Dana Burchell and husband Jason of Springfield, Missouri; his son, Shawn E. Tennison and wife Careen of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Angelina Hickman, Seth Hickman, Angela Hagerman, Emily Hagerman and Matthew Hagerman; sisters, Mae Randalls of Midfield, Texas and Lois Kliem of Blessing, Texas and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many other family and friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Howard Easley, sister, Opal Talley and a grandson, Corey Hickman. Graveside services and inurnment will be held at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Fort Leonard where he will be laid to rest, with full military honors, beside his wife. A repass will directly follow the ceremony.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Hospice Compassus. Cremation arrangements are under the direction and care of the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home of Versailles.
