Lorene "Mickey" Pyles
(October 16, 1934 - August 27, 2012)
Visitation for Lorene "Mickey" Winkle, 77, of Bourbonnais, formerly of Peotone, will be from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at the Clancy-Gernon Funeral Home, Bourbonnais, and from 10 a.m. Friday at Bethel Baptist Church in Bourbonnais, until the 11 a.m. funeral services.
Burial will be in Mound Grove Gardens of Memory, Kankakee. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Kankakee Valley. She died Monday (Aug. 27, 2012) at her home.
Mrs. Winkle, along with her husband, Ernest, owned and operated a family business for more than 30 years. She was born Oct. 16, 1934, in Qulin, Mo., the daughter of Edgar and Pearl Easter Pyle. She loved spending time with her family and raising her children. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who taught them that nothing in life is more important than family.
Surviving are her husband, Ernest Winkle, of Bourbonnais, whom she married July 24, 1950; children, Barbara (John) Boswell, and Larry (Fran) Winkle, all of Bourbonnais, Pam (Mike) Kujawa, of Jacksonville, Fla., Ron (Tina) Winkle, of Frankfort, and Kim (Dan) Haduch, and Cheri (Troy) Anunson, all of Bourbonnais; grandchildren, Robert (Colleen) Hurst, Debbie (Jeff) Morris, John (Casey) Boswell, Amanda Winkle, Larry Winkle, Amy Winkle, Cari (Micah) Sherrod, Michael (Adrienne) Kujawa, Kyle (Brittany) Kujawa, Jackie (Paul) Kinsella, Jessica Winkle, Brooke Winkle, Brittany Winkle, Aliana Winkle, Daniel Haduch and Meghan Anunson; and great-grandchildren, Bobby, Alyssa and Caitlyn Hurst, Makayla and Aidan Morris, Dalton and Logan Boswell, Rachel and Ethan Kujawa, Owen and Mason Kujawa, Madison and Hayden Kinsella.
She was preceded in death by her parents and one son-in-law, Robert Hurst.
