Individual Details
(August 15, 1855 - March 29, 1923)
"After the death of John Greer, Elizabeth married George Elswich, a widower from Cainy Creek, Kentucky, who had eight children by a former marriage. This marriage was not especially successful since George desired to live on his farm on Cainy Creek while Elizabeth was equally desirous of living on her farm near Myra. They solved this problem by each living on his or her own farm where they each reared their family very successfully. They visited each other often. Elizabeth died on March 29, 1923 and George on January 2, 1925 at the age of 99. They left one son, Mark Elswick, who was always regarded as a full brother by both sides of his half-brothers and half-sisters." (Insert added to GREER - A FAMILY RECORD, 1942 by John M. Greer, following page 26.)
