Joshua Tillery was born about 1746 in Orange County, Virginia. He is in the DAR Patriot Index as a soldier in the American Revolution. He received a land grant for services in Surrey County, North Carolina April 3, 1780. In 1791 he was on the tax list in Wilkes County. His will is in Oglethorpe County, Georgia (1823)/Morgan County.
