Fluffy was stationed in Hawaii and on Whidbey Island, Washington. While in Hawaii he was a radar man and flew with Navy air crews from Midway Island to Adak, Alaska doing radar surveillance. While on Whidbey he worked in the Navy Air Traffic Control tower as a controller. Apparently Fluffy gave his life doing his job in the Navy as he died in a Navy plane crash. He was a fine man and he loved Texas.
