"Smith County, Tennessee Court Minute Book 1811 - 1813 Letters of Adminstration granted Katy Wommack on estate of Richard Wamack deceased. Sketch of Hiram Wommack in History of Monroe, Missouri says there were eight children in the family in 1812. It also states that the father was tragically torn from the family in 1812. Hiram's sketch also states that his mother's name was Street. Some other references say it was Streetman. Henry Hammack books say they came to America from Geneva, Switzerland, when young."

"Smith County Deed Book H 1821 - 1824 states, "Catherine Womack, wife of Richard Womack deceased, Brice Hammack and wife Janey Enoch Goodman and wife Polly, Richard Womack, all the living and lawful heirs of Richard Womack" ... sell to William Watts and his heirs this land on the Goose Creek are of Smith County. William Watts was married to Nancy. Hiram was a child, but would have been under age."
