"The only record I have on Henry Lee Elliott comes from my father, Roy Kemper's interview with his grandmother Hope Elliott Kemper" (Judia Terry, October 1995).

"I needed more information on Henry Elliott, son of George Elliott and a Parish. Needless to say, I found your tree and the answers I was looking for. Henry may have lived for a time with his Parish relatives, but he was adopted by one of my great-grandfather's sisters and her husband, Fred and Ursula Smith Tobler of Baraboo, Wisconsin. His death certificate at Baraboo, Sauk County, Wisconsin recorded that he was born January 2, 1863 and died March 11, 1877 in Baraboo, Sauk County, Wisconsin of an illness. It gave the names of his natural parents and his birth place as Mitchellville, Tennessee. I thought it was curious that he should have come from Tennessee, but it all makes sense now that I know he had two uncles in Baraboo." (Sharon Johnson, positive_lee@qwest.net, 2007.)
