"The birth and death dates of the family and descendants of J. M. Anderson was taken from tombstones at Bluff Creek Cemetery. I have no proof that J. M. Anderson is Mary's father, but because of the positioning of their graves, it is very likely. Names of other daughters were added from information on a photograph from an Elsberry, Missouri family album, which is in my possession. The photograph was taken in Abilene, Texas, about 1885 to 1895, and is a picture identified as "Mollie, Lena, Susie and Eva." " (Judia Terry, 1996.)
