Joyce "Boysie" Terry

(February 9, 1906 - April 3, 1992)

"Joyce Terry was retired from the Ford Motor Company in Detroit, Michigan, moving to Dallas about 1972. He never married. He came to the Terry reunions in the 1980's and always had two little dogs with him. Joyce had dark brown hair all his life, it never turned gray, a point of which Joyce was very proud and he called it a Terry trait." (Ralph Terry, 1992)

"DeLeon - Joyce Terry, 86, of Dallas, died Friday at a Dallas hospital. Graveside services will be at 2 p.m. today at DeLeon Cemetery with Dr. John Fourie officiating, directed by Nowlin Funeral Home. Mr. Terry was born in DeLeon. He had lived in Dallas for 20 years, moving from Detroit, Michigan, where he was a retired worker from Ford Motor Company. Survivors include two half brothers, Doyle Terry of Lamesa and Clarence Terry of Tahoka; and a sister Lonely Brown of Plano, Illinois." (ABILENE REPORTER-NEWS, April 4, 1992, page 14A.)
