Linda Louise Terry

"Linda Louise Terry Barnes, age 61, of Emery, Utah, died surrounded by loved ones in her home on June 9, 2010 after her courageous fight with pancreatic cancer. She was born Sept. 27, 1948 in Cottonwood, Ariz. to Ted and Martha Compton Terry. She married the love of her life, Don Barnes in Emery, Utah on Feb. 15, 1992.
Linda grew up at the Grand Canyon and it influenced her life in many ways. She was an avid rock hunter and enjoyed looking for arrowheads and other artifacts.She focused most of her time on her family. She loved the outdoors and always looked forward to fishing, camping and hiking any chance she got.
Linda was a hard worker and took pride as a caretaker of the rest areas on I-70 for some 25 years.
She had a great love for the Lord as it showed in her faith and the way she lived her life. She will be truly missed by all those who were influenced by her, especially her family.
"Linda is survived by her loving husband, Don Barnes; six children, Joseph Bell,of Colorado Springs, Colo., Jay Bell, of Florissant, Colo., Yvonne (Justin) Leavitt, of Joseph, Utah, Grart (Corinne) Dalton of Emery, Utah, Valene Behunin of Ferron, Utah, Rusty (Amber) Barnes of Ferron, Utah; two brothers, Harvey(Debra) Terry, of Port Angeles, Wash, and Michael (Cherie) Terry, of Dewey,Ariz; one sister, Debbie (Ed) Nelson, of Moab, Utah; and her dad, Ted Terry, ofDewey, Ariz. She had 16 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
"She is preceded in death by her mother, Martha Compton Terry; her daughter,Yvette Elizabeth Dalton; and numerous loved ones.
"Funeral services were held at the Emery Ward Church, Emery, Utah, on Saturday,June 12, at 11 a.m. A viewing was held prior to service, and also from 6-8 p.m.on Friday, June 11. Interment will be in the Emery City Cemetery.
"Services were in the care of Fausett Mortuary."
