Robert Harvey Moore

(November 16, 1843 - April 23, 1928)

"Robert and Susan Moore were given a negro couple when they married by her parents. The couple had a child about the age of Wiley Paress and they played together. The family moved from Virginia to Kentucky about 1850. Robert served in Union army during the Civil War, was shot in the leg (and later used a cane), and was held a prisoner in Andersonville, Georgia; he received a pension. They were in the 1880 Garrard County, Kentucky. They moved to Missouri about 1882. Robert was a farmer." (Frances M. Brummett, 4409 Greenbrier Road, Long Beach, California 90808, 1994.)
