"Lloyd Hammonds, 67, of Brownwood, Texas passed away Saturday July 26, 2008 at the Songbird Lodge in Brownwood. Services will be Monday at 2:30 p.m. at Coleman Cemetery Pavilion with Rev Kermit Sorrells officiating. Interment will follow at Coleman Cemetery with Henderson Funeral Home of Coleman in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends Sunday from 4 until 5:30 p.m. at Henderson Funeral Home. Lloyd was born June 3, 1942 in Santa Rosa, California to the late J. T. Squyres and Aletta Mae Eddy Squyres. He was raised in Coleman where he attended the Coleman Schools. Lloyd was a resident of Brownwood, a member of the Baptist Church and a retired trucker. Survivors include a sister, Betty Lee Buchanan of Meridianville, Alabama; 3 step sisters, Pat Stacey of Mansfield, Texas, Betty Jo Doeden of Dallas, Texas and Brenda Wilkinson of Coleman, Texas; 6 grandchildren and 2 great grandsons; several nieces and nephews.
