Floy Horn

Services for Floy Ranson, 90, of Lamesa will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Teeters officiating. Burial will be in Lamesa Memorial Park under the direction of Branon Funeral Home. She died Sunday, Nov. 7, 1999, at Medical Arts Hospital. She was born Dec. 26, 1908, in Roscoe. She married Ralph Ranson on Aug. 4, 1929, in Cristoval. She graduated from Lamesa High School in 1927. She attended McMurray and graduated from Texas Tech in 1947. She taught eighth grade language arts in Lamesa public schools. She was a member of First Baptist Church where she taught Sunday school for many years. She was a member of Delta Kappa Gamma. Survivors include her husband; a son, Lynn Ranson of Lamesa; two daughters, Martha Lewis of San Angelo and Jean Lasater of Gorman; a sister, Beth Neighbors of Corona, Calif.; two brothers, Victor Horn of Midland and Cliff Horn of Coleman; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
