"James Terry of Virginia married Molly Raeford of Virginia. Their son William Terry married Nancy Pickett who was a daughter of William Pickett and wife Mary Terry who moved to Anson County, a sister of Hannah Pickett, wife of Walter Leak. This same William Terry has a daughter Nancy who married Stephen Cole and they were the parents of William Cole who married Judieth M. Leak. Their sons were Eli Terry, who married Ann Lovin, at one time Clerk of Court of Richmond County, and James Terry, who married Sally Leak, his cousin."
