Son of Richard W. Rodgers and Mary Ann (Thompson) Rodgers; Quinton appears on the 1880 census in Drew County, AR at age 5 with his widowed mother Mary A; sister Louisa, 13; and other family members; Quinton is also on the census in 1910 in Drew County, AR, with his wife Lucy.

Obituary from the Pine Bluff Commercial, Sunday, January 16, 1949, page 1 -- Death of Quinton E. Rogers Raises Storm Toll to 55 Yesterday -- WARREN Ark., Jan 15 - Quinton E. Rogers, 77, today became the 55th person to die as a result of the tornado that struck this south Arkansas lumber mill town Jan. 3. Rogers died in a Pine Bluff hospital. His wife, Mrs. Pearl Rogers, survives. Two other persons were killed when the twister struck an area near El Dorado a short time before the Warren disaster. Donations for the homeless have flooded Warren. At a civic meeting yesterday it was decided that contributions not specifically earmarked should be turned over to the Red Cross. A committee also was appointed to coordinate in disbursing funds. 

Obituary from the Eagle Democrat, Wednesday, January 20, 1949 -- Quinton E. Rogers, Tornado Victim -- The death of Quinton E. Rogers, 77, of Warren in the Davis Hospital at Pine Bluff at 3 a.m. January 15 brought to 55 the number of deaths resulting from the tornado which struck Warren in the early evening of January 3rd. He was born in Drew county September 2, 1871. He was a member of First Methodist Church. Surviving is his wife [Mrs.?] Pearl Rogers. Services were held Sunday afternoon at 2:30 from the Frazer Funeral Home, Rev. Hal H. Pin- ___ officiating. Interment was at Oakland cemetery.
