"Delmar Charles "Doc" Holladay, 75, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away from pancreatic cancer Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2010, at the home of his friends Vern and Linda Ford. He had been under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.

He was born Aug. 26, 1935, in Afton, Wyo., to Edgar Holladay and Goldie (neeReeves) Holladay-Ruud. Doc grew up in Palisades. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1953 to 1957. In 1977, Doc married Betty Godin in Idaho Falls. She passed away Feb. 20, 1999.

"He was a roofer for 47 years, working throughout eastern Idaho. Doc enjoyed fishing, hunting and playing pool. There wasn't anyone in this country who could beat him in a game of pool.

"He was preceded in death by his wife and his parents, Edgar Holladay and Goldie M. Ruud.

"At Doc's request, there will be no services held. Arrangements are under the direction of Coltrin Mortuary, 2100 First St. in Idaho Falls."
