"Leota Holladay, 85, of Green River, died at 11:13 p.m. at her home Saturday. Nov 21, 1998,, after being released from the Sweetwater County Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services are Wednesday, Nov 25, 1998 at the Green River LDS Chapel located at 1000 West 4 North, Green River with Bishop William R. Campton officiating.
"A resident of Green River and a former 10 year resident of Vernon, TX Leota had been in ill health the last few weeks.
"She was born on May 27, 1913 in Auburn, the daughter of Henry Carlos and Lillian Hyde Walton. She attended Star Valley schools in Auburn and Afton, and graduated from High School with the class of 1931. She married Forest Holladay in Auburn on March 16, 1932.
"She had been employed as a cook at the Sugar Bowl in Green River, Little America and the Care Center in Rock Springs.
"Leota was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She also was a member of Tops Club 107. Her interests were crocheting, knitting, reading and taking care of her husband, children and grandchildren.
"Survivors include her husband Forest Holladay of Green River, and three daughters, Lila Seyersdahl and Shirlene Hager both of Green River and Carol Johnson of Pinedale; 15 grandchildren and 38 great grandchildren, seven great-great grandchildren.
"In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her stepmother Maude Sullivan Walton, a son, Carl Holladay, three sisters, Leona Hyde, Elva Walton and Rose Anderson and one grandson."
