Cleo Coredell Hale

(July 22, 1918 - January 19, 2010)

"Cleo Coredell Hale was born in Dunlap, Kansas on July 22, 1918, to Henry and Mami Hale, both of whom preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his sisters Francis Hale and Wilma Gary. He departed this life on January 19, 2010, at the age of 91. He retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1968, after serving 27 years. He then worked for the Federal Government for an additional 10 years. He married Versie Lee Johnson on December 16, 1953. She preceded him in death 4 years to the day. Their only son is Michael Cordell Hale. He took great pride in the raising of his son, as well as being a loving and devoted husband, grandfather, and brother. He moved with his family to Lancaster in 1968. This after serving in World War II, the Korean conflict, and Vietnam War. He was stationed in Germany, Africa and Italy. He visited 13 different countries and had been in all but 3 of the 50 states. He leaves to cherish his memories, his son Michael Hale and daughter- in-law Marlene of Chula Vista, Calif., five grandchildren, Michael Grimes-Hale of Lancaster, Calif., Perryn Hale of Las Vegas, Nev., Ammarrette Regan of Las Vegas, Nevada, Meaghan Hale of Chula Vista, Calif., and Melissa Hale of Chula Vista, Calif., 8 great-grandchildren, and a host of other friends and relatives. Visitation will be held from 3 to 7 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, 2010, Services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, January 27, 2010, both at Joshua Memorial Park & Mortuary, Lancaster."
