William Edward Guinn

William E. Guinn, 71, died Monday, Sept 2, 2002, in Vallejo following a long illness.
A native of Kansas City KS, Mr. Guinn lived in Fairfield 36 years. Soon after high school, he joined the U.S. Air Force in 1952 and served for 27 years. His tours included Bermuda, Travis Air Force Base, and Vietnam, where he served for one year. In 1979 he retired as a master sergeant and continued his occupation of mission capability specialist in the base supply squadron at Travis AFB as a civilian, retiring in 1999.
Mr. Guinn was a member of the Saddle Club at Travis AFB for many years and loved horseback riding. He was also a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and the choir. He loved to talk and mentored young airmen, providing them with life lessons.
Survivors include his wife, three sons, a stepson, one daughter, two sisters, and five grandchildren.
