Loyd William Bouldin

(August 2, 1929 - June 5, 2002)

"Smithville resident and Van Buren County native Lloyd William Bouldin, 72, died June 4 at Alvin C. York V.A. Hospital in Murfreesboro after an extended illness. A retired truck driver with Custom Construction and a member of Pleasant Cove Church of Christ, he served his country in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. The son of Claud and Annie Martin Bouldin, he was preceded in death by his wife, Oma Elnora Bouldin in 2000. He is survived by sons and daughters-in-law, Mason and Renea Bouldin of Belk, Jason and Tracy Bouldin of Rock Island; grandchildren, Megan, Marcie, Matthew, Hunter and Madison Bouldin; brother, Floyd Bouldin of Rock Island; and sisters, Willie Barnes of McMinnville, Gloria Downham of Dayton and Elizabeth Graham of Lafayette, Ind. Services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday at High's Chapel with Marion Ward and Anthony Templeton officiating. Burial will follow at Crain Hill Cemetery with military graveside rites administered by VFW Post 5064 and American Legion Post 173. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. today and be held from 8 a.m. until time of service Saturday at High's. High Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements."
