"Edith Lola Reynolds Elms, 81, of the Allen Chapel Community died Thursday,Nov. 16, 2000, in a local nursing home. Born Jan. 26, 1919, in Calico Rock, she was the daughter of Charles and Ruth Reagan Reynolds. She was a retired homemaker and a member of Allen Chapel Free Will Baptist Church. Survivors include a son, Wesley Elms of Batesville; a daughter, Jean Candler of Batesville; three brothers, Estes Reynolds and Glen Reynolds,both of Batesville, and J.C. Reynolds of Oil Trough; two sisters, Opal Johnson of Oil Trough and Ruby Palmer of Batesville; four grandchildren, Rickey Candler, Nathan Elms and Mandi Elms, all of Batesville, and Michael Candler of Little Rock; a great-grandson, Justin Candler of Batesville; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ernest Elms; four brothers, Collie Reynolds, Clyde Reynolds, Floyd Reynolds and G.W. Reynolds; and a sister, Ethel Reynolds. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Allen Chapel Free Will Baptist Church with Tim Landers officiating and assisted by J.W. Blanks. Burial will be in Egner Cemetery with arrangements by Roller-Crouch Funeral Home of Batesville. Pallbearers will be Billy Richardson, Charles Wade, David Cartwright,Jimmy Cartwright, Mike Young and Danny Trail.Honorary pallbearers will be men of Allen Chapel Free Will Baptist Church.
