Archie Fenton, age 74, of Gouldbusk died Sunday, November 10, 2002 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene. Graveside funeral services were held at 4 p. m. Monday at Gouldbusk Cemetery with Sam Wilson officiating. Services were under the direction of Stevens Funeral Home. Archie Fenton was born February 21, 1928 in Gouldbusk, Texas and was a son of W. F. Fenton II and Lucille Elliott Fenton. He grew up in Gouldbusk and attended school at Mozelle. He was married to Anna Knighten Fenton for 36 years. He served in the U.S. Army. He was a rancher and had lived in Texas and Colorado. Survivors include his three children, Angela Fenton Dillon and husband David of Florence, Colorado, Bobby Fenton and wife Delores of Johnson City and Janet Bolton and husband Dan of Brownwood; seven grandchildren, Ethan, Danette, Chad, Joshua, Missy, Becky and Sonya; four great-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Tooter and Charlotte Fenton of Lake Ivie; one sister and brother-in-law, Sue and J. D. Townsend of Merkel; and several nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for Children, Dallas, Texas.
