"Marion - David A. Greear, 57, of Marion died Thursday in Roanoke. He was operator of the Mountain Empire Flying Service and was also owner of Greear Studio and Gift Shops in Marion and Wytheville. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Thomas Greear; a son, John David Greear, Ft. McClellan, Alabama; a daughter, Miss Jeannie Greear, Boone, North Carolina; four brothers, John F. Greear, Sol Greear, Atlanta, Georgia, Dr. Phillip Greear, Josh Greear, Rome, Georgia; a sister, Mrs. Joseph McGinty, Rome, Georgia. Seaver Funeral Home is handling arrangements."
