Polly Porterfield Berry was living between Robert Moore and the widow Sarah Wasson in Mercer County, Missouri from 1850 to at least 1 December 1851, and was living in Monterey County, California in 1860. She was residing as a widow in the household of her son Fielding in San Juan Township, San Benito County, California in 1880. It is unconfirmed that she is a daughter of James Porterfield, and she is more than likely a relative of some kind as there are several tie-in's between her and the Rutherford County, Tennessee Porterfields.
