"Miss Nell Harmon, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. C. P. Harmon, was found dead of a bullet wound in her breast this morning. She was found in a dying condition by her mother. Miss Harmon suffered the wound shortly after she arrived home from the home in which she boarded near the Maxwell School, where she was a teacher. A physician pronounced the young woman dead upon his arrival. Miss Harmon was an alumna of the State Teachers College at Radford and was teaching her first year. Besides her parents she is survived by two sisters, Mrs. Frank Petterson, Pittsburgh, Ps., and Miss Virginia Harman, Wytheville, and two brothers, Bernard and Pat Harmon." (Lois Temple FGS 457.)
