"Sybil Horton De Arment, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great - grandmother, and great-great grandmother, passed away on July 31,2014 at the age of 90 . Sybil was born in Whitehouse, Texas on February 24 , 1924, to Floyd A. and Maxine Horton. Sybil grew up on the coast which gave her a love for the trips there. A love for animals... especially dogs. A very strong minded person who had a definite opinion and stuck to her guns on her beliefs and faith in God. Following her retirement from U.S.A.A, she and her husband enjoyed many years volunteering and work with the San Antonio Conservation Society, where she also served on the board. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Leroy E. De Arment. She will be greatly missed by her 3 children, 6 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 6 great - great grandchildren. May God bless and keep her in His loving care. We all love you mom! A committal service will be held at Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Thursday, August 7 at 1:00 pm."
